FAQ: Seb McKinnon Magic the Gathering Playmats: LIMITED EDITION 3

Shipping is so expensive! Why???

1) Since these are limited items, it’s important that I offer tracking for your packages when I can. This comes at a cost. They are also being shipped FedEx expedited. 2) I’m anticipating shipping a large number of items, and I can’t do this myself. I need to hire a fulfillment team to take care of this for me. 3) Unfortunately, I live in Canada, and Canadian shipping rates are just the worse… I really am sorry about that.

I strongly suggest teaming up with a couple of friends and splitting the shipping cost amongst yourselves.

When do I choose the designs I want?

At the end of the campaign, a survey will be sent to your email, through the pledge manager BackerKit (super easy and user friendly!) :)

I want more than 4 playmats! How can I get them?

At the end of the campaign, during the survey stage, you will be able to add on as many mats as you’d like! So if you want more than 4, simply choose the 4-playmat tier to take advantage of the deal, and wait for the survey. You will be able to choose and pay for the extra mats at this time.

If I change my pledge, will I loose my place in the first 1000 backers?

No. As long as you don’t CANCEL your pledge, you are fine. You can jump from tier to tier, and change your pledge amounts without loosing your spot. Just don’t cancel!

Can I choose the same design on multiple mats/prints? Or have them all different?

Of course! You can mix and match them. For example, you order 4 mats, they can all be Growth Spirals if you want, or they can all be different from one another! You get to choose exactly what you want at the end of the campaign, during the survey stage.

What size are the playmats?

They are the standard ~ 24 x 13.5 inches size.

Where can I see all the playmat/print designs currently available?

On the main campaign page, under “Available Playmats/Prints”.

Will the Fae Song playmat/print be signed?

No it won’t (this will be clearly stated during the survey). It’s too difficult logistically to get Sheya to sign them, and I don’t feel comfortable signing someone else’s work. However, it will come with a COA, signed by me, as Director of KIN Fables.

If I want to pay for more than 4 playmats now, can I do that?

Yes. The exact price of the extra playmats after 4 is yet to be determined, because it will depend on how well the campaign does here on Kickstarter. Any playmat ordered after 4, will be done through the pledge manager BackerKit. The price of these playmats will be between $45-50 CAD. So, if you want, you can add the minimum $45 per extra mat to your pledge right now. If ever the final price ends up being a more a few dollars more, you will be able to pay the balance in BackerKit. PLEASE NOTE: This applies to only people who have pledged at the “$175 CAD - Four playmats please” level.

Will the Drew Tucker and Rebecca Guay Collaborations be signed by them?

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
